First Prize: Bronwen Marshall, Royal College of Art - Bronwen was chosen for her design of a men’s hoodie in Origin Assured™ (OA™) Mink in different shades of grey, black and white
Second Prize: On Ying Lai, London College of Fashion - On Ying was chosen for her design of a knitted jumper in electric blue Rex Rabbit with tan leather
Third Prize: Eliana Dimitrakopoulou, London College of Fashion - Eliana was chosen for her design of an OA™ Mink reversible (upside down) jacket shading from white to dark purple

Seal ban does not address welfare and disregards international trade rules

The ban voted by the European Parliament on 5th May does nothing to improve the welfare
of hunted seals - but sets a dangerous precedent by ignoring World Trade Organisation
rules, says the International Fur Trade Federation, (IFTF) which represents 42 member
trade organisations in 35 countries.

Sad day for seals

Remix 2009

Milan. Hong Kong designer, Chiu Yu Hang won the Gold prize at this year’s REMIX, the International Fur Design Competition in Milan. Competition judges included US Fashion Designer Rubin Singer, the FT’s Fashion Editor and Comedienne, Joan Rivers, and senior representatives from the trade and fur trade press. Chiu Yu Hang’s architectural mink two tone design has been chosen out of 40 entries.
